My StoryI was born and raised in a little bedroom town 30 miles outside Chicago. It was primarily a blue collar town with a strong work ethic and a sense of community. The values that were instilled in me still exist in my core being and I exhibit those today with honesty, trust and respect being the foremost. The prevailing mentality was "go to college and work downtown" or work with your mind and not your back. My college education was not stellar but I had a skill set that fit well with Corporate America (specifically back office trading operations). The desire to achieve and take on new and different responsibilities were rewarded but not in a way that truly fed my being. After climbing the corporate ladder and experiencing successes as well as failures I really yearned to do something else. The financial cocoon I built and enjoyed was hard for me to leave to pursue a different vocation. In 2006 my wife and I moved to Charlotte NC rather than New York where my current employer wanted to move me. Then in 2007, accepted a position in the financial industry for one of the banks here in Charlotte. Then I experienced the most dramatic turning point in my life to date. On January 15th, 2009 my wife was on Flight 1549 that landed on the Hudson. A week later on January 22nd almost to the hour I was downsized by the same company that we both worked for. This was the start of my coaching but was unaware at the time. I was fine on the outside but imploding on the inside. My heart and head didn't want to go back into Corp USA so I decided to do something that I truly enjoy and that is to work with others to discover more about themselves. In the ensuing year I attended the entrepreneurial program offered by the Kaufman foundation (Fasttrac) here in Charlotte. I hired my own coach, enrolled in CTI's coaching program and have completed the core curriculum in 2009. I then embarked on CTI's Coaching certification in 2010 and was awarded the distinction of Certified Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC). CTI offers a Leadership program and I enrolled in spring of 2011. I completed the program in December of 2011 with over 200 hours of experiential leadership learning in the CTI co-active model. In August of 2012 I went to Atlanta to become certified in DiSC assessment and am now qualifed to deliver the styles/traits and work with the respondant on interpretating the results. I am also a member of the Charlotte chapter of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Upon completion of certification I will then build my practice and develop Coaching workshops, seminars and public speaking. In addition to partnering with clients one on one, I will actively pursue Corporations that understand the value in coaching and positioning their associates for the next level. Welcome to all that I am and bring as "Your Coach for Change." David

Working with David as a coach was an absolute joy. David coached me to look inwardly to gain clarity about my "values".
